Krista and I had a wonderful time at the NABS President’s Council dinner. The event is an annual event which is held to thank our donors who have been so faithful in partnering with us in the ministry of the seminary.
As a new faculty member, it was my honor to be able to spend the first five minutes or so welcoming the guests, introducing myself, and telling them of my call to NABS and what makes me excited about my ministry at seminary.
We also greatly enjoyed hearing one of the seminary’s students sing two songs and listening to another student’s testimony. This type of sharing by students is wonderful for it reminds each and every one of us of our own call to ministry and how God is using my colleagues and me to prepare ‘servant leaders for the ministries of Christ in the church and the world.’
Our president also took about fifteen minutes to share with the attendees further details about our forthcoming move and where we currently are in that planning process. It was a good time, a good meal, and good fellowship with friends and partners in the ministry.
